Boulder’s model airplane club faces uncertain future at Boulder Reservoir
The Boulder Aeromodeling Society established a permanent runway along the northwest shores of Boulder Reservoir in 1971, and its members have been launching aircraft from the site ever since. But the club faces an uncertain future as the city seeks to revamp the allowed uses at Boulder Reservoir and better protect the increasingly rare raptors that nest near the club’s flying zones.
