</script></p><p></p><p>I have seen a 19.5 hp RC model engine for 1/2 scale a/c. Some ultralights that I have also seen fly on as little as 20 hp. </p>
<p>What if you built a twin engine plane like the French CRICRI, could you power it with an RC engine of the same hp and has anyone done it?  </p>
<p>It seems like an enticing proposition considering the price of LSA aircraft.<br />
<br />The CriCri uses 2 regular 10hp chain-saw engines (which are also used in large R/C scale models). I think 2x20hp is a bit much, though!  All CriCri&#8217;s use these engines, but at least one flies with AMT R/C jet engines.</p>
