The freshly charged Thunder Power pack was installed with a wattmeter in-between it to check current draw and it showed 39 amps at full throttle, so I was ready to fly.

Takeoff can be very short or sometimes I like to make a Scale looking takeoff, either way the Pitts has more than enough power. The first flights were non-eventful and it was flying pretty good. It will knife edge from right to left with no coupling and only a tiny bit going from left to right. I tried some hovering even though this wasn’t the 3d setup and it would hold it, just not pull out. I did notice to hold a hover straight up, almost full down Elevator was needed. I later added some downthrust by adding 2 washers to the top of the mount and this fixed the problem.

The Pitts will spin and do blenders like the larger ones I have flown, they can be violent so be sure to check the struts and screws if you do them a lot.
