Falcon 40 RTF 4-Channel Radio Remote Controlled RC Helicopter help?

Falcon 40 RTF 4-Channel Radio Remote Controlled RC Helicopter.

I am looking to buy a good rc heli and easy to fly, since this will be my 1st heli.
Is the above a good pick?
Also what is the differnce between a 4chl and other higher chnl heli’s
And can someone tell me a site on how to fly a 4 chnl if thats what I should get..

The Falcon 40 is a good helicopter if you know how to fly. Since you said, "1st heli", I assume you flew with a simulator before? If not, I suggest you get a coaxial helicopter. I personally started with the Blade CX. I suggest you get the E-Flite Blade CX2. (Better transmitter without the easy burnout) Coaxial helicopter make it easier to fly and it really isnt a big challenge once you get used to it. This helicopter should get you familiar with the controls of a helicopter. 4Ch means how much of the helicopter you could function.
The 4 channels are:
1. Throttle (left side of the controller- up and down)
2. Rudder (left side of the controller- rotates left and right)
3. Cyclic (right side of the controller- forward and backward, tilt left and right)

If you get some that are 3 channels, you get to control the throttle, rudder and the forward and backward flights. The 2 channels, you get to control the rudder and the height the helicopter flies at.

Sure, I could give you a site on how to fly a 4 channel helicopter if you want.

Flying a heli is challenging. You will crash during your learning stage.A good flight sim will go a long ways to helping you learn to fly.If i remember right the falcon 40 comes with a sim to help you learn to fly it.The higher channels are used for 3d flying and are idle up and throttle hold. The 40 is limited as to what it will do as far as flying because it is a fixed pitch rotor goes but the price is right for a starter heli.Another nice little heli is the falcon 3d and the axe cpl. They are capable of inverted flight and loops.Look on ebay for the best deals.

If your new to this its way harder then you’d think. The e-flite cx2 is a great new chopper for $200 and its still pretty challenging to fly. I got one of the ones with 2 blades the 3-d fixed pitch chopper and got so frustrated!! Very very difficult.
