Waterjet has the advantage of not producing dust particles. This may allow other activities to take place without close mishap. water jet can clean the surfaces of the highest possible standard, offering the best surface preparation for the paint industry, for example.
Waterjet machines can be powered by an electric motor or diesel engine. They can be supplied as high pressure or ultra high pressure apparatus. The range of applications they can take is impressive. In addition to surface preparation, they can be used for cleaning tanks and reservoirs. They can also be used to cut the cold.
In the cold water jet cutting high pressure is used in combination with a compound abrasive sharp. This works well on steel and concrete as well as other materials. Little or heat is generated insignificant which makes this method very suitable cut in the usual case where the heat generated by cutting is not desirable.
Cutting cold is potentially dangerous as a high pressure water is used. For this reason, operators must be properly trained and must wear safety clothing and equipment suitable. For obvious reasons, the operators involved in the cutting cold are not near jet cutting. It is used at a safe distance and distance.
Waterjet machines are useful for removing scale from inside the pipe. By necessity the material used in these cases involves the use of small nozzle heads that can penetrate in small diameter pipes. Because pipes are often bends, water jets also need to be flexible enough to adapt to conditions changing it encounters. It is by the need for remote operation and variable speed control allows you to manage all situations likely.
Efficient water jet machines have a low flow of water use. They may use methods filtration and recycling, which eliminates the need for continuous water replenishment and associated waste water. This can make the system very cost effective.
Most water jetting operations are made with cold water. However, it is also possible to have water too hot jet. The hot water can be pumped at high pressure to a temperature of 70 degrees Celsius, while the normal operating temperature of a hot water system is colder at about 50 to 55 degrees Celsius.
Waterjet machines are very useful in many industries, but especially in the offshore oil industry. They can safely clean many surfaces for a variety of purposes. They may used to provide the highest level of cleaning for surface preparation prior to resurfacing, or they can be used for piping scale where no other application can be almost as effective. With abrasive water jet also provides precision cold cutting tool for use in dangerous areas where the hot cutting may be desirable.
