Hello,
I have broken so many RC planes. that’s because they are over rated. I have had one great one though called the firebird outlaw by hobby-zone. basically i want a beginner plane, that flys nice, stable and quite slow. Any recommendations? thanks!
Try going for the Air Hogs product line. Their products are made of mainly foam and the planes are very durable. They have a 2 channel function, so there isn’t much controls to worry about. Just the up/down, left right basic controls. They are very stable and slow. These planes are made for people of all ages, except for I think ages 8 and under.

The Art-Tech P-51D Mustang would be a really good choice as it comes with a flight simulator that you hook up to your computer! It’s the top of range model and built really well. See it at http://www.nitropro.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=2&products_id=24
If you want one that’s practically industructible and a bit cheaper, try the Thunderbird. It has a minimal number of parts – unlike many other plane’s designs. This means when you crash, (as everyone does!), there are fewer parts to break. The body is very durable and almost indestructible. In addition, the rotors are efficient, safe, and inexpensive to replace. http://www.nitropro.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=2&products_id=23
