i know, this plane …
i know, this plane is so small and fast it was hard to video im sorry, watching it in HD and full scree is much better if your PC can handle it
I especially love …
I especially love the many sections of the video where there is nothing in the frame or a speck you can’t make out.
fuselage, since …
fuselage, since angle of the wing is for better lift i assume
Is the angle you …
Is the angle you cut off the nose vertical to the fusalidge or the wing?
i believe the CG …
i believe the CG was 1/3 from the leading edge, i first threw the plane as it was intended and it flew great, marked the CG which was somewhere in the middle of the wing, but when i slapped on my gear and flew the plane, boy was the CG wrong, it was way off, so try 1/3 and go from there
Just as a guide …
Just as a guide could you give me a rough idea as to a good position for c/g on wing please.
thats a good setup, …
thats a good setup, i mounted the prop using a pro saver, its the O ring, your motor should be mounted the same way, make sure you use the smallest O rings, or else the prop will come off the motor in mid air: PS, you can buy O rings for cheap at home depot, dont buy them from hobby shops, or if you know a plummer they have plenty, a good friend of mine gave me bags and bags, god bless him
thanks for the …
thanks for the quick response.I’m using a hyperion 450mAh 3S lipo with titan 10 p31 speed controller.Call me stupid but how are you actually mounting your prop to your motor? At a guess are you using one of the o’rings supplied with motor to tie prop?
the hyperion 6 turn …
the hyperion 6 turn 2100kv is a great little motor, it will take a 3S lipo and it will spin a 6×4 GWS slow fly prop, as for the mounting, i just used the cross back plate and glued that on directly to the front of the fox, of course i cut the front of the plane for an even smooth surface. hope that helps
what prop would you …
what prop would you recommend for hyperion 6t 2100kv brushless and what accessory do i need to mount it ?It looks as though i need simmilar to the one on your hacker motor.
sounds good, hit me …
sounds good, hit me up with your done
when i get mine …
when i get mine finished ill show you how i secured it on. that will be in like 3 days. im on my 4th fox lol
yes but i found out …
yes but i found out the hard way that with fast planes like this, its best to secure the battery a little better then just with velcro, my next fox i will have to think of a better way to secure the battery
did you just secure …
did you just secure your battery with velcro?
It means 2,900 RPM …
It means 2,900 RPM per volt.
yes it sure does
…
also note, the higher the KV of a motor, the smaller the propeller size, once you work with different KV motors, you’ll get a feel of what prop to use, e.g 900kv motor will spin 11×6 prop, 1200KV motor will spin 9×4, 2200kv motor will spin 6×4 prop, of course there is also the variable of what voltage/cell count your battery is, lower the voltage of your battery, the bigger the prop, higher the voltage/cell count, smaller the prop
yes it sure does
so this motor has …
so this motor has 2900 rpm/v
if i got that right thanks for clearing this out!
KV stands for rpm/ …
KV stands for rpm/volt or ( kiloVolt) “K” is the scientific notation for a constant and “V” stands for Volts.
in layman’s terms, its how fast the motor spins
what does the ” …
what does the “2900KV” stand for?
thanks !
And how …
thanks !
And how many amps is the speed controler ?
i used a Hacker A10 …
i used a Hacker A10-12S which is a 2900Kv outrunner, on a 5×3 GWS prop, this thing litttle fox screams power
What type of motor …
What type of motor did you use ?
Okay Will do!!!
Okay Will do!!!
any time
send me …
send me a video when its done would love to see her fly
any time
Thank you for your …
Thank you for your swift response, Im waiting for my shipment of Foxes to arrive so I can start to build it and fly it, Thanks again!
