Im not Pete but i will tell you this. If you bought that plane and put diff electronics in it Servos, Receiver, ESC, and Brushless motor and ran Lipos. And didnt crash it constantly like a noob it would prob last you a long time.

On your parts upgrade therse a 9.6 v 1000mah NIMH is the connector ok for this cessna the battery looks like it has a male small tamiya plug.( probaly be cool if these upgrade parts show which kit is combatible too, just dont feel like soldering thats all)
