I am very interested in learning how to fly Electric RC airplanes and feel that I have narrowed it down to two choices : T-hawk versus the Easystar. I would like to know which one to choose ?
Or…is there a better choice than these ?
I fly gas r/c planes, and I recommend any high winged aircraft because their flight characteristics will auto level when you let go of the controls. In other words, if you start to lose control, don’t input the controls, and the plane goes to level. From there, you take over. You definitely want 4 channel controlled airplane ,easier to control than a 2 channel sorry I can’t recommend any one in particular but I hope this info helps.

Both offer glider-like flying. That means stability and easy to fly. As you are a beginner, one thing is for certain that at some point you ARE going to crash the plane. So you want one that will stand up to the abuse. I like the T-Hawk with landing gear. You can fly with or without the landing gear. I also like its optional wings like the Training Wing with tension wire for easier learning. While I think that the Easytar is a better looking RC, I would still lean towards the T-Hawk. I’m not sure, but I don’t think the electric motor in the Easystar is easily replaced or serviced. It comes ready to fly with the motor wired and installed. But on the T-Hawk, while being pre-installed, the components are seperate and can be replaced as needed or transferred to another plane.
Price wise, the T-Hawk package comes in at 169.95 The Easystar with "everything you need" prices out at 259.00.
I vote for the T-Hawk.
